imgdiff alternative: a free multi-image comparison tool

Looking for imgdiff? imgdiff.net is live and does the core job, drop in two images and drag a divider to compare them. imgi does that same drag-to-compare job, then keeps going: up to ten images in one comparison instead of two, an embed for your own site, a GIF export, and albums that hold several comparisons behind one link. No account needed either way.

imgi is the imgdiff alternative with more than two images.Free, no signup. Drag to compare, share one link, embed anywhere.

imgi is an imgdiff alternative

imgi is a small, fast tool for comparing images. Drop in a before and an after, drag the divider, and the change jumps out. imgdiff.net does this part too, with its own zoom, pan, and fullscreen view on top of the slider, we tried it first-hand before writing this page. Where the two tools split is scope: imgdiff.net stops at two images per comparison, imgi goes up to ten.

Your files also come back at full quality by default, pixel for pixel, zero compression, unless you turn on Compress for smaller, faster-loading files. That matters when you are judging an upscale or a retouch and a squished copy would hide the exact thing you are trying to show.

You get a short link you can hand to anyone, and it keeps working. imgi’s links are permanent, so a comparison you post today is still live next year. And if the images should never leave your machine, offline mode runs the whole thing in your browser with nothing uploaded, the same idea as imgdiff.net’s own Offline tab. When you need numbers instead of a slider, the image difference checker highlights every changed pixel between two images and gives you an exact similarity percentage, with the same permanent share links. And if you came from imgsli rather than imgdiff.net, the imgsli alternative page covers that switch.

imgi was built with permanence in mind, it is free and will stay free forever. Hosting is paid for by ads on shared pages, not by holding your images hostage, and it is a stated commitment, not a hope.

Questions about imgdiff.net and imgi

What is imgdiff.net?

imgdiff.net is a free browser tool for comparing two images: drop in an Image 1 (before) and Image 2 (after), drag the divider, and it has zoom, pan, and a fullscreen view. You can create a public share link or run the comparison fully offline in your browser instead. It covers that core job well.

Is imgi a good imgdiff.net alternative?

If two images and a share link is all you need, imgdiff.net already does that. imgi is worth switching to when you want more than two images in one comparison, an embed for your own site, a GIF or video export, or an album that holds several comparisons behind one link.

Does imgi support more than two images, unlike imgdiff.net?

Yes. imgi compares 2 to 10 images in a single link, with a strip to flip between pairs. imgdiff.net's uploader has exactly two slots, Image 1 and Image 2, with no way to add a third.

Can I embed a comparison on my own site?

With imgi, yes: every comparison has an iframe snippet under the Embed button, so it drops into a blog, portfolio, or product page. We looked for an equivalent on imgdiff.net's comparison view and didn't find one.

Does imgdiff.net export a GIF or video?

Not that we found. Its comparison toolbar has zoom, pan, fullscreen, and a copy-link button, but no export option. imgi exports the same comparison as a GIF, MP4, or WebP.

Do I need an account for either tool?

No, on both. imgdiff.net lets you upload anonymously or log in to save sessions to an account. imgi works the same way: no signup to compare and share, with a free account just for keeping your uploads in one place, and Pro adding private links and custom link names.

Does imgi have an offline mode like imgdiff.net?

Yes. imgdiff.net's Offline tab keeps the comparison inside your browser, its own copy says no upload, storage, or share link is created. imgi's offline mode works the same way, nothing uploaded, nothing recompressed.

Are imgdiff.net's public links private?

No, not by default. imgdiff.net's own upload screen warns that public sessions have no password, so anyone with the link can view the images. imgi's free links are the same story; private links come with Pro.

Try imgi on your own images. No account, one link to share.
