Copyright and takedowns

We respect copyright and remove infringing content promptly.

Reporting infringement

If you believe an image on imgi.co infringes your copyright, email abuse@imgi.co with the following:

A description of the work you say is infringed.
The exact imgi.co link to the content.
Your name, address, and email.
A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
Your physical or electronic signature.

You can also use the report form.

Counter notice

If your content was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter notice to abuse@imgi.co. To be valid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), it must include all of the following:

Identification of the content that was removed and the imgi.co link where it appeared before removal.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, and telephone number.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which imgi.co may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward valid counter notices to the original complainant. Unless they notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the content.

Repeat infringer policy

We terminate access for repeat infringers. Each substantiated copyright takedown is recorded against the uploading account and the uploading identity. Accounts or identities that accumulate three substantiated takedowns within a 12 month period are permanently banned from uploading, and their remaining uploads may be removed. Counter noticed content that is restored does not count as a strike.
